Reboot…

Regular readers (hi Daddy! Hey Lovely One’s Mama!) will have noticed a lack of activity online. This was because I was busy with some important BIDNESS.

Rescued baby elephants at the Kuala Gandah elephant sanctuary, Pahang. This cheeky chappie has a defective back leg and won't be able to survive in the wild, but he seems pretty happy and healthy looked after by the dedicated chaps at the sanctuary.

Me and my enormous hair (it's basically a sentient creature now) meet a TEENY TINY HEDGEHOG in Deerland, Malaysia. Yep, we were really excited.

This year’s big hols saw the Lovely One and I travel in Malaysia and Western Australia and try to cram in sightseeing, family time and friends between attempting to eat our own bodyweight in local delicacies. We very nearly succeeded, and I’ll be posting various bits and pieces over the next few weeks as part of the “Lewishambles on Tour” series. A few of these posts will be a bit jumbled in nature as I would rather it was a thematic series of posts instead of a “what I did on my holidays” story. Kind of the modern equivalent of those interminable slideshows your aunties and uncles used to inflict on you in the 90s.

Brace yourselves, folks.

  1. Ahem. Freemantle looks much like the Thames on a lovely Friday afternoon. About 6.30pm, snapped as one walked along the river towards London Bridge and sent to housemates who were off having wonderfully fun Antipodean times. Just sayin’
